Showers are good for muffling sounds you don't want to hear.
I entered my bathroom a few minutes ago, stripped off everything in a frenzy. Red marks on my hips remind me that the new underwear bought to make me feel pretty or something takes stretching out to accommodate someone with a waist the size of a fishbone but hips like the base end of a pear.
I feel fat, but the lines are almost like scars, grooved deep and angry, angry, angry. Fingers run over them say that they'll fade quickly, in a matter of minutes, and I can't say that thought settles well. The urge to make them real is very strong.

Dear earth, if I
scooped you up
once more,
would you grant me
my heavenly gift?
I seem to have lost it.
Dear earth, once,
not so long,
a millennium
ago
I held you,
all of you,
crumbled, soft
a broken whole.
Dear earth, I believed
you to be just that:
a pile of
gritty, cold
soil.
Pulsing.
Alive.
But barely
anything
else.
Dear earth, you
trickled through my
trembling fingers,
cradling baby birds,
spongy, fragile,
I taught you to fly.
Dear Earth, I kissed you
with the grace of an
angel's lips,
the truth of
our thousand lies
whispered over and
over.
Dear earth, you blossomed,
Emerged,
Arose,
A flower.

So, you haven't heard from me in forever because I am currently writing a novel.
NaNoWriMo. 50,000 words in one month, foo'.
I'm at around 26K, and I'm very proud of it. It's called Purgatory, and its description is posted on my NaNo account, which is also MushroomT.
So...since writing a novel is basically eating my life...there hasn't been much time for photography or poetry or short stories or anything like that.
Yeah. :P
Worry not; I'll be back after November ends.
Well, here I am.
In the realm of short stories/poetry: Most, if not all, of my attention is being put into my fanfiction, Follow the Feet (which is a working title -.-). It's for Avatar: The Last Airbender, and it's a TophxZuko fic, primarily. I've always been a strong believer that Toph has a side she doesn't really show us, and I explore that, too. There will be a smutty chapter towards the end...yes, you read that correctly. If you wish to read it, here is a link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6196065/1/Follow_the_Feet
Soon, however, my attention will be turned to the annual event that is NaNoWriMo, aka National Novel Writing Month
You know what sucks more than unrequited love?
Requited love that can't be acted upon for a long while.
Yay, it's wonderful.
In any event.
I ordered a lens adapter for AV, and several filters along with OH MY GOD three macro lenses.
Guys, you have NO idea how excited I am about this.
Thanks to dA, I've completely fallen for any type of macro photography, and I am beyond thrilled to finally get to take some, especially since fall draws near(ish).
I'm also working on a piece about Homecoming; it'll be a stream-of-conciousness kind of thing. Slightly longer than the last, most likely; it will deal with both previous and current loves.
I
Bailey! It has been far too long and most of that is my fault, but I have a gift for you: [link] It is of your pokemon characters, if your ff.net profile page speaks the truth.
